It has been a rather busy week or so. Last week, I preached the citywide revival in San Diego California. The meeting was Monday through Thursday. Friday morning, I flew to Beaumont, Texas to close out the family conference for Pastor John Adolph and the Antioch Baptist Church. I preached Friday night and flew home Saturday. I mostly rested Saturday and goofed off with Crystal and the kids. Sunday, I continued our exposition of Ephesians with a message of 1:8-10, entitled "The Mystery of his Will." We had a good day. I have been in the office most of the day, preparing to leave in the morning. I am scheduled to be in Corpus Christi tomorrow night to do three nights for Pastor Kevin Pullum and the Friendship Baptist Church. However, I received news in staff meeting afternoon that the meeting has been changed to a "citywide" meeting that will be hosted by Pastor Derrick Reeves at the St. John Baptist Church. Either way is fine by me. Both of these brothers are good and godly men who serve faithful churches. I look forward to the time of worship and fellowship.
I know all of this sounds a bit hectic. The good news is that at the end of the month of August, I will be mostly done with all of my traveling for "revivals" for the rest of the year. I am very excited about that. I look forward to settling down and spending more time at home with my family and congregation. The Lord has given me strength and blessed me to juggle quite a few different obligations at the same time. But I am really looking forward to have a few less balls to juggle in the air. Being on the "road" has taken it's toll on me in many ways recently. But in the providence of God, my schedule is lightening up right in time. Praise God for that. And continue to pray for me, my family, and MSMBC.
